CEO Mr. Sofyan Djalil and IBC team visited the International Monetary Fund in Jakarta and met with Resident Representative for Indonesia Mr. Dennis Botman recently.

It was a great pleasure for us to be able to introduce IBC as the association of CEOs and business/industry leaders of Indonesia’s leading corporations who thrive to promote and strengthen Indonesia’s competitiveness. In this meeting, we also shared the latest of IBC’s initiative on the research for the development and strengthening of the Indonesia’s financial sector.

The research and policy paper are part of “Financial Development for Strong and Equitable Growth” series which utilizes Financial Development Index developed by the IMF as the basis component to examine key issues in the development of the financial sector which focuses on three critical elements: depth, access, and efficiency.

IBC was pleased to also learn that the IMF has just recently issued its report on “Indonesia: Financial Sector Assessment Program-Detailed Assessment of Observance-Based Core Principles for Effective Banking Supervision” – which will be a great reference for IBC’s upcoming policy paper on financial development.
